Update for past month

Here is what we have done for the past month or so, just to let you know there are a lot of pictures.

Went to Curt's mission reunion, here we are with Curt's last Mission President

This is a picture of Curt and his second son (got to love mission lingo), does that make him my son too? Sorry the picture would not rotate.

We went to Curt's parents for conference weekend and then again for his Dad's birthday a couple weekends latter, but we forgot the camera for his Dads birthday so no pictures of the our nieces and nephew.

Curt's family likes to play cards and other game, we also went swiming

Here is Curt playing with the dogs, he loves dogs and can't wait until we live in a place were we can have one.

For Easter we just stayed home and my parents, brother and sister came to visit but of cores I did not get any pictures.

We like to die Easter eggs even though we don't have any kids around, we are just kids at heart

We had fun even though some did not turn out like we would had hoped

On the Monday after Easter we had our friends Talon and Nicloe come over for FHE. They shared a Easter message, Elder Hollands talk on the pictures from the Testaments.

Then we made Easter House instead of gingerbread houses

It was a fun month but crazy busy with school, I am glad that school is done for a while and that we both did good on our finals, however we both start back up in June for a summer class. We will enjoy our break while it lasts.

Pictures of Car and New Apartement

Sorry this has been a crazy semester and i have not made time to update my blog. The pictures would not turn so here is out new apartment side ways. It is nice to have more space to hang out, cook and do home work.

Our computer will no longer in our room and we have a spare room to store stuff (when we get everything organized :)

 

The room is smaller but there are two rooms

The mirror is small but at least we can both fit in the bathroom at the same time.

Look Melanie we have a place for your girls to play next time you come and visit.

As you can see we diffidently wont be able to drive the car with out repairs and the insurance company decided that there was too much damage for how much the car was worth, so they decided they are not going to fix it. However my Dad bought the car from the insurance company and is going to fix it up. We have not decided if we are going to pay for my Dad to fix the car or if we want to buy a new car, so if any one knows of any good deals on cars let us know. In the mean time we are driving a car that we are borrowing from his parents. We love out parents and all the help they have been to us.

Car Accident and Moving

On Wednesday Night we were sitting right in front of our apartment waiting for a car to pass so that we could turn into our parking lot and girl hit the back right tire and tail light. It scared me so bad because we were just talking and it came out of the blue. Luckily we were both fine, the driver of the other car was fine, and she told the police that it was her fault. We stood out in the middle of the road from 9:15 to 10:00 waiting for the police to come and take care of everything. Weird thing our cell phones would not call 911, but we had lots of neighbors stopping by to see how we were, so we just used one of their phones. Are car was towed away and we are not sure when it will be done because we are still figuring out insurance, so in the mean time we have wonderful neighbors who have been letting us barrow their cars or giving us rides to places. We love our ward and are grateful to everyone that have reached out to help us.

Also we have decided that since we will be here for at least two more years we want a bigger place so we are moving on Friday and Saturday. Nobody get to upset we are just moving into a two bedroom apartment within Aggie Village and we are not leaving our ward. It has been fun trying to pack and clean while going to school, dealing with the insurance, and having no car, but I am glad to be getting into a bigger place.

Spring Break

Two weeks ago we had spring break. We did not do much but it was nice to have a break from school. Curt worked everyday so we stayed up in Logan most of the time. However since our school has to pay the government a lot of money the school was closed down for spring break and no employees were allowed to work, so I had a week off work. I mostly hung around the house relaxed and did home work. On Tuesday night we went down to my cousins Adam and his wife Carly's wedding reception. I forgot my camera so I took one off my cousins Facebook page. Also on Saturday we were sick of Logan and Curt needed some sort of a spring break, so we spent Saturday and Sunday morning at Curt parents house. On Saturday we went swimming, watched a movie, and had dinner at his sisters house. Then on Sunday we went down to my Grandmas house for dinner with my family and cousins. After dinner we stayed and played cards. Even though we did not do much it was a nice break from school.

Happy Valentines

Since we went toe the Dance on friday and were with our families on Sarutday we decided to celebrate Valentines on Sunday. Curt made me this Lemon Fish wrap it was delicious- He is a wonderful cook. We have a tradition that he makes me a new dish for valentines dinner. It is fun to try some recepices we would not normally try

I got the table set up all fancy for dinner. In the middle are the roses curt gave me.

For Dessert we had strawberries that I cut out in the shape of a heart with whip cream and strawberries. We had a fun romantic evening.

Valentines Dance

On Friday the 13th we went to a stake Valentines dinner and dance. It was fun to get out and go dancing with my husband even though we are not that good.

My Birthday Picture

Here are some pictures from my birthday sorry they are kind of late it has been a busy couple weeks. I was not sure what Curt had planned and was not sure if he had the night off until that morning, he had it off the whole time but he was just trying to trick me. At first he wasn't going to let me know and had made arrangements to kid nap me from work. But him trying to get a replacement for me was not working well, so he told me that morning so that I could get it all worked out. That morning he made me french toast for breakfast and I opened my presents.

Here is a sign that he carved and painted for me it say- Christ is the center of our home, Love is what keeps us strong and eternity is what we have to look forward to. He he made up the saying all by himself. Here is a skit that I got, plus a movie and a video game- the game is really fun we have almost beaten it.

That night we went to Olive Garden for dinner. Then we came home had cake and ice cream and watched Fireproof it was a little cheesy but I liked it.

Curt did the whole cake by himself- Yes that is strawberries and whip cream with chocolate cake, it was so good.

We Also went to my parents to my parents that Saturday. My mom gave me a shirt and some Jewelry beads, my sister gave me a scripture tote bag that she made and my dad bought me my phone. Then we went out to dinner at this Korean restaurant- It was delicious. After dinner we came home and had cake and ice cream. Here is the cake my Dad decorated for me and the tote my sister made.

Update

So we are still alive, nothing exciting going on just trying to get though this semester. My Birthday is on Tuesday and I have no idea what Curt has planned but I will post and let you know what we did. We are also going to a Valentines dance on Friday, on Saturday we are helping curt's sister move, and then going to my parent for a birthday/ Valentines party for me and my mom. I will post pictures when I get them. I hope every one is enjoying life

Were back in School

School stared today and it is going to be another busy semester and I don't think much will be going on so sorry if I don't post for a while. Good Luck with school all of you that have started back or will start back soon.

Making Christmas Eve Dinner

Curt, his sister Julee, his Mom, and I made homemade tamales and BBQ meat for Christmas Eve dinner. Here I am soaking the corn husks to that they are soft enough to fold up

Curt is making the jucie to mix with masa to make the dough for the tamales.Here they are mixing in the masa with the juice.

Now curt is spreading the masa on the corn husk and i am putting in the chicken.

Here are the finished products. They look and smell like they should, but too bad the steamer was not working right so we had to cook them all night and we had them for lunch the next day.

Here is curt tenderizing the meat with his big knife.


Even though they did not work out propperly we enjoyed working together to make them.
