Saturday March 7th

 We made some good progress. we also got the two doors in the garage done as well.  Thanks Dad's

My little girl loves to put on hats and look at herself in the mirror. She also loves to play in the water. She likes brushing her teeth because then she gets to play in the water, at least it is teaching her good hygiene.  Although she does like to walk across the counter to get her tooth brush so I guess that is not safe.  I don't have to many pictures of her because she always thinks I am taking a video and wont hold still.  She is a little show off and loves to watch videos I take of her.

Aleana also loves to say prayers and wants to say them every time we are saying a prayer.  She is so sweet and will bless everything she can think and says "for mom", "for dad", "for Aleana"and will continue listing things like Ryker, Sheena and Kason, the water, everything on her plate, what she has done or what she will do and just random things we have seen or talking about. We have been working on having her say Heavenly Father and folding her arms we will say "fold your arms and say Heavenly Father" so she say "For Father arms" I think it is cute and I am sure Heavenly Father smiles when he hears her pray.  I love that her prayers are so personal and that she says them all by herself. She also loves to have us pray and we often all take turns saying prayers.   I hope that she continues loving to pray.

We are all getting a little warn down with this house building and we are glad we are on the down hill slop even if we are only one step down the other side. Aleana misses her Daddy and I know he misses her and non of us are getting the sleep we need especially with Aleana either wanting to stay up late or skipping naps.  I am also getting warn down with all the stress of trying to keep everything on a time schedule with Aleana and all the babysitting.  I think the Lord is slowly preparing me for another kid he has planned for us. The money is nice and his mom did buy some different formula which has help him eat and sleep better.  I broke down crying for no real reason.  I guess it can be a bit much at times and I don't get out much.  I will have to plan another surprise date for Curt so we can have a break.  We are excited for our house and we know the work will never really be done.

We are hoping to get our profile online while the Church is playing for couples to be on adoption.com.  Maybe if we are lucky we will welcome and baby home not long after we move into our new house.  Here comes all the paper work and the roller-coaster of emotions.

February Fun!

She loves her sugar in any form.  I need to find a way to keep it out of her reach. 

She did not want to share her bouncer with the baby, luckily they brought one over for him.  She does love to help out and gives him hugs and kiss.  She likes having him around just does not want to let go of her baby stuff. 

Loves her stool and likes to eat most of her meals from it and help us around the kitchen.  She has fallen a few times so we have to watch her.

My Birthday

Curt surprised me with having the day off and I got a day off from babysitting the baby. Curt and Aleana made me "waffins"

I got "Sleeping Beauty" a light for my tablet, a gift card from my tablet, some highlighter (Curt moms them was "the light of the word")  

Curt made me some date jars so we can be more creative with our dates now we just need to make the time. 

White chocolate pudding pie,  It was yummy!  We only had a two and other candles. 

 

For the rest of the day we hung out beside me babysitting for an hour,  then that evening Curt and I went and worked on the house.  Not the best way to spend a birthday but at least I got to be with Curt. 

On Monday night we went to Dinner at the Indian Oven. We took Aleana with us and she started out good but then she kept wanting to use the bathroom and then started running around the restaurant. It was still a fun night with the family.

Grandmas 80th Birthday

The girls with there Great Grandma.  I know Song'A just adores them and I am so glad we were able to make it down and be there for her birthday.  It was fun to be there but Aleana was a drama queen and did not sleep well which made it a challenge for us.  She was cute and played with Layla and even warmed up to Great Grandma and Grandpa a little bit.   

When we sang Happy Birthday my grandma cried because she was so happy to have her family around her.  We love her and are glad she is our grandma. 

Our Valentines

Since we were in Vegas for valentines we had a quick Valentines breakfast on presidents day before going with Curt's dad to work on singling our roof.  Red Velvet pancakes with cream cheese frosting. They were yummy. Curt's mom and sister stayed with Aleana. 

One Crazy girl

Dr. Seuss Party 

I helped my Friend Jordan put together a Dr. Seuss party for the neighbor kids.  

We had some fun themed food! Someone also made green eggs and ham, pretzel for bacon chocolate melt for the ham and green m&m's for the eggs,  

We read some stores and played games. 

Here is my "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" Game. It was a hit!

The kids had a lot of fun and I enjoyed being with other adults.  

More of our House 

Singles are on, the inside is framed and we are preparing for windows doors and sheet rock.  I helped with the house wrap and it was not like wrapping a present, it was a pain but if is will protect our house then OK.

Besides our house and babysitting.  Aleana has started a my child and me gymnastics class which she loves and my actually have some talent for.  It is fun to have something for the 2 of us with all this other babysitting I have been doing, she still acts out but I think having a special activity is helping.

The babysitting has its days, some days the little guy sleeps most of the day and other times her is crying most of the day.  I think a lot is mine and Aleana's attitudes and I also think he does not handle the formula well.  Hope we can get somethings worked out, because there are days we all take turns crying.  It does not help that Aleana thinks she dose not need a nap when she really does. I am grateful I have a loving husband and Heavenly Father. 

Weak moment

I have been babysitting a new born the last week and most days have gone as expected tough at times but then he takes long naps.  Well today his mom brought pumped milk and was feed it to him straight from the fridge.  After a several hours of trying to feed him and trying to get him to sleep I realized it was probably the cold milk.  I warmed it up and tried feeding him and he was taking it but kept falling asleep but as soon as I set him down he would wake up just crying from hunger or because Aleana was bugging him.  Mean while I have been trying to take care of Aleana and helping her with her potty training but having to spend most of my day with the baby. She would try to get my attention and then go off and try to take care of her self like pulling a cucumber out of the fridge pilling it and eating it (mind you she is two).  Well Aleana was trying to help clean out the dishwasher and climbing around getting things off the counter. I hear this crash and shatter and come in to see the a bowl broken on the floor.  I grab Aleana with out thinking and spank her and because I was so up set I hit her again this time getting her bear leg.  She looks at me and starts crying and I start bawling like I have not bawled in a long long time.  All three of us are just crying our eyes out, it was not a pretty sight.  I was not so upset that I patted Aleana's bum because she acting out I was more upset that I hit her out of frustration. I got the baby cried himself to sleep and I rocked his car seat a minute after.  Once I got Aleana ready she crashed in my arms fast, the poor girl was so tired.  I hope that tomorrow goes better, it is real training for a second kid one day.  

My Big Girl!

I am not saying Aleana is potty trained in two days but for going potty in the toilet for the 1st time that I know of for sure, to go to the potty about 6 times today plus pooing is pretty amazing.  When this girl puts her mind to something she goes for it and I just have to follow her lead.  For months now she has been observing how to go potty and has sat on the potty several times so I have been prepping her, but I knew that it would have to be her idea to be successful.  I am still going to be using diapers during the day for a while and during naps and at night for who know how long since she loves her milk, but we will get a lot of practicing in for now.    

Sleeping

Since we have had 1:00 Church Sacrament meeting has been a challenge.  Yesterday was bad Aleana started out running around with her friends around the chapel since Choir practice was still going on. Then she tried to escape from me several times before the sacrament.  During the sacrament she was fighting me and kept crawling to the empty bench in front of us and telling me she wanted to find Daddy so I was ready for her to run for it but I guess not ready enough.  She took off and made it to the second row before I caught her.  They were about to pray again so I just sat down and she cried an d screamed during the prayer.  Luckily a friend of mine was nice enough to send her son over with an active to distract her for the rest of sacrament.  When Curt was finished she ran to him and we headed back to our bench.  Aleana continued to crawl up to the empty bench and was laying on the bench. when there was about 20 mins left we got her to come back and eat snacks on Curt's lap.  We noticed she was falling asleep eating her crackers and then she asked for a drink.  It did not take more than 5 mins and she was out.  We did not dare wake her so Curt sat with her During Sunday School and I came and traded so he could teach.  I thought she was going to wake up several times but she just went right back to sleep. When there was 15 mins left in Church she rolled off the bench and woke self up. She was so confused and wanted to know where daddy was.  She looked up in the room where they prepare the sacrament and then I got her to go to the last ten minutes of nursery.  Poor little girl just needed some sleep, she has not fall asleep in church for probably a year.  Also it was nice to have some quiet time to just read and ponder to get ready for this week.

Also I started a new babysitting job today.  I am watching a new born 4 days for 8 hours until the end of may a week while his mom teaches school.  So far it has gone good he has been asleep for almost 4 hours now and Aleana has been asleep for almost 2.  The Lord told me he would help me do this so we could make some extra money.  I know everyday wont be this easy but it shows me once again how much I can rely on my Heavenly Father.  Aleana has struggled a bit she was excited for the baby to wake up and play but when she realized he cant wake, crawl, play on her bed or slide down the stairs and just was held by mom so she could not play she was ready for him to go back to sleep and have his mom come pick him which was only 2 hours into the day.  She also has not wanted to share her bouncer and has wanted to sit in it all day so he has been sleeping in his car seat.  She does like him and wants to share food with him so hopefully things get better.
