Curt's First Fathers Day!!

Happy Father's Day to A wonderful Father and Husband we love you very much!!

Aleana is a very lucky girl to have a Daddy that loves her so much.
He loves to help take care of her, he even changes diapers, feeds her and help put her to bed.
He Also loves to play we her and taker her on walks any chance he gets.

I think she kind of likes him too :)

To celebrate Fathers Day I made German Pancakes with Raspberries for Curt and I for Breakfast,  on Saturday Morning (we have 9:00 church so I did not want to wake up any earlier then necessary). On Sunday we made Salmon for dinner. We also played at home, took a nap, and went on a walk.  For Curt's Fathers Day presents I had my friend take a few pictures of Aleana and I framed them.
Aleana got this new shirt for Fathers Day!
This picture Curt took to work and put it on his desk. So now when ever he is having a bad day he can look at Aleana's smiling face and it will cheer him right up!!

This one we are going to Hang up on the wall at home. Curt loved his dad pictures, it made a great First Father's Gift!
I Also helped Aleana make this Father's  Day Card.  I Love how good the feet prints turned out.

Fathers Day Fun!

On Saturday my parents, my sister, and my brother and his family come up to visit and go to Logan's Summerfest. Here are a few Cute pictures we took for Fathers Day.
Cute little girl and her Daddy!
My Dad, Niece Layla, and Aleana!! What a happy Grandpa.
First Father's for both of these great guys and there cute little girls!!

Other fun things in our life

Aleana is learning to get into more things, she loves to pull the books and movies off the shelf. She also loves to pull everything out of the diaper bag and grabs for anything with in reach.

Yesterday when I went to get her up from her nap she was sitting up in her pack and play.  Before then she has not been able to go from laying down to sitting very well.  So we had to move the mattress down so that she did not pull her self up and fall out of the crib.  Every time I have gone into get her today she has been sitting up, what a fun new skill.  She is also getting really close to pulling her self up to the coffee table and other objects.  I think she may walk before she really figures out how crawl.  She right now will get on to her knees and walk her hands forward and then fall on her tommy and roll.  She will also push up  unto her hands and tip toes. It is fun to watch her try to figure new skills.
Aleana is getting so independent she is not a fan of being spoon feed, she is a finger food girl.  If we are lucky we will get her to eat 3 or 4 bits of baby food when we sit down to feed her.  She love cheerios, puffs, and recently decided she loves banana bread. I gave her regular bread before and she throw it up both times. We have tried some fresh fruit, she made really funny sour face when she tried raspberries, she spits out pears and peaches, and at strawberries but made a funny face.  I need to try some veggies with her, she seemed to like the veggie baby food better.
Here is just a random picture of her after a Sunday nap last Sunday, I just thought her little Mohawk was awesome!

 Not so fun things

Last Thursday June 6th Aleana started getting a runny nose and cough and by Friday night she had a fever in the low 100's.  Here fever stayed and her cough and runny nose got worse through the weekend and she was getting really fussy.  On Monday morning June 10th we took Aleana to the doctor to find out she had an ear infection in each ear (she had an ear infection in her left ear in the middle of April).   The doctor gave her amoxicillin again and we started doing the twice a day medicine again.  Then yesterday morning I noticed some bumps on her legs and through out the day they spread to her stomach back and arms (especially her arm pits).  I did not even think until I got a hold of my mom about 8:00 that night that she was having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin.  We were up until 10:30 that night getting Benadryl and calling friends and on call doctors to find out the dosage.  Today I gave her baby Claritin thinking that if I only had to give her medicine once that day and have her not sleep all day would be nice.  But it did not help that much with the hives. At least they don't seem to be bugging her.  So I am trying to decide if I should just give her Benadryl tomorrow or try the baby Zyrtec.  It is never fun when Aleana get sick, but I am glad there is medicine and doctors to help.
Aleana and very rough when she is overly tired, she pulls my hair and tears it out and is a little vampire and bits my neck.  Today she almost broke the skin.  I am not sure how to teach a baby not to bit.  If she would not fit naps or if I stuck to her schedule better maybe she would not get so over tired. Although even when she is happy and excited she will pull my hair and sometimes bits when she is giving kiss.  Oh the joys and challenges of kids and I bet it doesn't get too much easier. I love her to pieces anyways!! :)

My 8 Month Old Baby Girl

Aleana is now 8 months old

The sign is a little fuzzy but she is actually looking at the camera

She is fun and crazy. This little girl is full of personality!

I think she is about 19 or 20 lbs and around 28 inches but I am not for sure because she has not been weighed or measured for 2 months and her next doctors appointment is in July. Look at those chunky legs.

Here are some fun and cute pictures of Aleana
She still loves the basket! I am surprised I could still get her in it.

I love her little Grins!

Still loving being outside, I am so glad the weather has decided to stay warm for a while so we can go out and play.
Aleana has learned a new trick.  when Aleana would do something like get a toy she was reaching for or pick up a puff and put it in her mouth Curt would clap his hands and say, "Yea Aleana".  Now when we say "Yea" or "Yea Aleana" she will clap her hands.  It is so cute! I just love seeing her discover new things.

So here are a few more pictures of her with her 8th month sign
Just playing with it and looking at it
 Ripping it off
Tearing it off and playing with the paper.
She is always into something

Aleana turned 8 months on Sunday.  She is growing up so fast.  I love that she is says “mum, mum, mum” when she needs me.  She also say “da da da” when she wants Curt.  She gets it right about 7 times out of 10 and sometimes a little more often with me.  I love that mom and dad are her first words.

She has 7 teeth now and I think that the 8th one is going to come in soon because she is cranky and chewing on everything like she is in pain.  I hope it come through soon because I liked it when she slept through the night.  She is going crazy chewing on anything she can get her hands on including table legs and arms of chairs.

We got Aleana a high chair so that she can sit up to the table with us and eat dinner, she loves it. She thinks she is such a big girl.   She is getting pretty good and eating baby food and she is staring to figure out how to pick up finger foods.  I may have to try some other things besides just puffs and see how she likes other food and textures.

Aleana is trying so hard to figure out how to crawl or scoot so she can get to her toys easier.  She will push up so that she is on her hands and her toes and also into crawling position so we will see which one she thinks will be easier.

I think she might start pulling herself up to things before too long be because she likes to stand up against the couch, the table and our legs and has started to reach up to the coffee table and pulling up on it. We will really have to make some changes if she figures out how to pull herself up to things.
Oh Curt was not offered the job in Rexburg, but he is the new young men’s presidents so I guess the lord had a different plan for us.
I am Just enjoying being a stay at home mom and playing with Aleana and my friends who are stay at home moms.  Life is great!

Sunday June 23rd 2013

Today was a big day! We went to Church and were reminded of the World Wide Missionary Broadcast: The Work of Salvation.  The Stake and Ward Leaders made a big deal about it, they said it was going to be Huge!  So we wanted to watch it to see what new thing was going to be announced about missions and missionary work.

We had a barbeque over at the Atkinson’s house we had delicious pulled elk burritos, visited and watched the missionary broadcast.  I was kind of shocked when they announced that missionaries could use facebook, but missionary work is alive a well on Facebook and other internet devices and it will help quicken the pass of missionary work.  I think it will be a great resource for missionaries.

After the broadcast we were visiting and letting the girls play and Aleana started to crawl.  It was her first time crawling.  It is a big new step for my little girl.  Now she is going to be getting into everything.  My job is going to get harder
