August

I think she will miss having dirt once we get our grass.
She is stuck out in the mud.

Putting up the fence!

Ward carnival. It was fun to get to know the members of our ward.
We had a family picnic with our adoption friends.  It is fun to still get together with them.

Yellow Stone

We took a family vacation with my entire family including my grandma Taylor.
Aleana and Layla in our little Cabin we stayed three nights in.  We were hoping Aleana would sleep on the floor but when we woke up in the middle of the night under the bed we thought it was not the best idea.  Poor little girl was so scared.  Curt spent most of the nights on the floor.
Walking on a Allen guided tour through the town of Mammoth.

Hiking with grandma to a waterfall.  She wanted to go hiking so bad but fell asleep in the car so she was half asleep on the hike.
Relaxing while eating cookies and watching Muppet
Carving wood with Daddy.
Curt carved each of the kids names into a stick.
Layla informed us that this is how you hike.

Bear tooth look out

Aleana loved driving through Lamar Valley and seeing all the Bison,  She wanted to get out and pet and hold a baby one.
Our cute little cabin.
Waterfall

While visiting one of the visitor centers we saw some displays about geysers and hot pots. She thought they were cool and kept asking questions about them.  So went to show her the geysers and hot pots.  She was in her 2 year old language telling everyone how they worked.  She is a cute smart girl.  This hot pot here is called Dragons breath cave and Aleana kept asking if the dragon was coming out and talking out the the dragons smoke. She loved to tell people about the dragon in the cave.

waiting to see old faithful
After seeing Old faithful the first time we went inside the visitors center and they were playing a video about geysers.  We took Aleana and she loved it and did not stop talking about it. I love to see how fascinated she was.

Walking to see geysers near old faithful.

Showing me how the hot water was shooting up up into the air and telling me it was making a loud noise.
Old faithful!

We stayed the last night in old faithful lodge. Our window looked directly out to Old Faithful.

On the drive home we stopped at the zoo in Idaho falls.  Aleana finally got to pet an animal and eat french fries which she had wanted to do the whole time we were in Yellow stone.  This is a baby Lama.  Debbie was excited to see it and pet it as well.
this girl loves to put on my make up.
One Happy Girl!
Ride a pony all by herself at the American West Heritage Center just up the road from us.
Making marble muffin cake, Aleana own creation.

Curt's Family came to our house to celebrate Jody's 60th Birthday.  Aleana is helping her blow out the candles.

 More fun in the dirt.
This little princess is not afraid to get dirty.

July -finishing, moving and new house

Pool party with friends from our town home. We will miss them.
Showing her cousin the awsome foam between the doors.
Sparklers with Ryker

She did not like the loud noise but loved the lights so she watched the fireworks through the window.

Dressing her self!
I have a picture of me with bottoms on my head as well.

Eating Cereal in one of the boxes

Enjoying some frozen blue berries.
Our open house. It is nice to finally be done!
The girls liked playing on the porch, in the garage and in the bouncy house.
It was a crazy night. We had a couple hour open house and then a couple hour long meeting.  We all just wanted to get ready to move in.
Old kitchen
new kitchen
New living room
Playing make up in mommies new bathroom.
Aleana's new room
She was so tired after all the packing and moving that she wanted to wear a princess dress to bed.  I figured if she would stop crying and sleep that it was fine with me.  For the next week or so she wanted to wear dresses day and night.

At a family reunion with cousin Mary and Emmy

Playing hide and seek under the stairs in the room being built for Great Grandma Pete.

Sparklers in our new how which sparked up new friendship for Aleana and are neighbor Morgan.

They have played together almost everyday since even though Morgan was too afraid to come play sparklers with us at first.  I am glad Aleana has a new friend in the neighborhood.
