Merry Christmas!

Stauffer Christmas Party

We went to my parents house for a family Christmas Party the Sunday before Christmas.
Aleana and Layla had a lot of fun playing together.
They played with the dolls in the doll house
and then they decided to give them a bath.

Aleana loves opening presents so she had to help Brian and Cadie.
As well as Daddy:)
She loves her doll Debbie got her.  She has to change the dolls diaper and give her a bottle several times a day
Aleana loves the little mermaid so her mermaid sleeping bag from Brian and Cadie was a big hit.
She loved that it was a back pack and wore it around the house.  She could carry it around and still help other open there presents.  Layla got a Minnie mouse chair and Aleana and lay kind of fought over there presents.  They each wanted both :)
My cute warm scarf from Cadie.  I also got a Pilates exercise video and a ninja mask.
with her grandpa
Allen giving her Lego's to go with her Lego Zoo.

Aleana got a bit overwhelmed by all the people and presents and kept escaping to Debbie's room to play.  I am glad she know what she needs to do to de-stress rather then just crying.  She is such a smart little girl.

CHRISTMAS EVE

On Christmas Eve we watch Bible Videos of the story of Christ's birth.  Aleana liked pointing out baby Jesus (every picture of a baby has been baby Jesus this season :) and the different animals.

I want to give a Christ Centered gift on Christmas Eve so I gave her the Church themed lacing cards I made for her to use during sacrament.  She was pretty excited,

Here is the sweet hug and kiss she gave me, I love this picture!

We also made short bread and watched "The Cat in the Hat knows a lot about Christmas"
Also for dinner we had quick sweet and sour chicken.  We tried to do candle light.  Aleana thought it was cool until we started eating so we turned the light back on.
After Aleana went to bed we watched a "Muppet Christmas Carol" and played Santa clause.

Christmas Morning

We had a bit of a late start because Aleana did not sleep well. She came in our room about 8:30 and we came down around 9 (I do not think we will get to sleep in that late again on Christmas for a very long time).  Aleana was excited when she saw the tree light and the presents.  I think she said " wow presents, monkey George show" She watched the Curious George Christmas movie several times this season.

We opened most of the presents but Aleana was getting overwhelmed and hungry so we took a break to eat yummy creeps and then we finished.  Apparently we bought her too many presents because I kept finding them in my closet throughout the day.  Most where just things she needed so I only wrapped a few more.  I guess we where just excited for this Christmas and know she likes opening presents.  However most of them where from the dollar store so we did not spend a lot.

                                                            Stocking!
She got Cars 2 from Santa

Aleana feeding her baby with her bottle she got from Santa Clause, he must have know she was getting a doll.
Presents!
Aleana with her "Gouson" horse.  She loves Grandpas horse Tuscon
She also got sticker, Curious George coloring book (she loves "monkey george"), a whale that she calls a shark, a magnet farm book, bath paints, a piggy bank, go fish cards, blue silver wear and a Sleeping Beauty birthday cake,
I was excited to give her the tent I made for her so we waited until the end.  Curt and I where bringing it down the stairs and she saw it and said "blankey", we said "no".  Then she saw what it was and yelled "tenty tent".  As you can see she loves it.  I still need to make a few adjustment to make it easier to play in but we have fun in it.
After we relaxed a bit and watched "Planes 2", which we got from the library. we went to play in the snow.  We thought she would like to build a snow man but she kept saying no balls, so I should not have been surprised when she knocked down the snowman we where trying to make and stared a snow ball fight.
Sledding until Curt dumped her off and she face
planted it.  I thought she would want to go in but we brushed it off and she started throwing snow balls at us again.

My little girl loves the snow and she loves eating it as well.
It was fun playing together as a family! I also made snow angels and Curt and I took turns tacking each other in the snow.

Here is Aleana in her Christmas dress the Sunday after Christmas.  She wore it the Sunday before too but did not cooperate for pictures.
I love my spunky little girl and I think she had a great Christmas.

December Fun!

She could not wait until the tree was up to start decorating!

With in a few days it looked like this:) Christmas trees are fun with toddlers! She watched the Curious George Christmas and the tress in the Lobby gets un-decorated so she thought she needed to un-decorate ours.  She also discover the tree would turn when she pulled on the tensile.
 Helping me make clay ornaments.

 More of the tree un-decorated:)
We both took our turns with the stomach flu so we spent a lot of time watching shows and crafting.

One Saturday while I was sick my mom came up and took Aleana to see Santa and the Reindeer at the Willow Zoo, while my Dad and Curt worked on the houses.  She loved the Reindeer but did not care for Santa :)
