Campfire and the Fair!

Tuesday August 5th

I have been really wanting to do a camp fire and roast marshmallow's but either we have been busy or it has been raining.  Well we finally did it although we did have to hurry and get Curt from work and we did get a little sprinkled on and had to hurry out after dinner before the storm came.
Happy to have her own chair.
nervous of the fire, I think it reminds her of fire work.
Getting dinner ready in the pizza makers.

Aleana loved playing in the dirt, on the rocks and in the tree.
 So Cute!
Eating pizza sauce with a spoon, she also ate olives and Canadian bacon
 Sliding down the rocky hill
 Roasting marshmallows
She decided the fire was not so bad.
 Yummy marshmallow!

Wednesday August 6th

Aleana has finally decided it is ok for me to do her hair, look at these cute pig tails!

 Thursday August 7th

We took Aleana to the fair to see the animals, she liked the sheep and cows but was not so sure about the pigs.  We also got her cotton candy for the first time.
Her first bit
 She likes it!
She was all sticky by the end of the night

Friday August 8th

I was trying to get a picture of her in the tutu but she decided to suction the cup to her face, what a silly girl!

So much fun!

Today was our 8 year wedding Anniversary.  I can't believe time has gone so fast, yet it is nothing compared to eternity. I am grateful that I have this life and the next to spend with this amazing man.
Curt surprised me with these beautiful flowers
Just after we finished dinner at a cute little restaurant in Logan.  We sat out on the patio.  They had it decorated all cute with flowers, lights and decorations.  The food was really authentic and very good. Curt had Penna Pasta with pesto sauce and shrimp and I had ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach.  We had thinly slice Ahi tuna topped with diced asparagus, shaved parmesan and extra virgin olive oil for an appetizer.

very cute little place just down from the tabernacle. After dinner we walked over to the bluebird for some chocolates.  After we get Aleana to bed Curt gave me a message.  It was a wonderful night. Thank you Sheena for watching Aleana.

Monday July 21

Playing in the sprinkler!

Wednesday July 23

We went Curt's friend and Coworkers house for fire works
Aleana loved the tramp but she was scaring us because she would run to the edge and stop at the last minute and fall on her bum. She is one daring little girl.
She was not a big fan of the fire works because they were loud.  When we cover her ears she did better.

She thought the sparklers were fun.
At the end we saw some big fireworks a block away and she really liked those and was calling the "pops".  So maybe it is just the sound she does not like.

Thursday July 24th

Watching Dad do a few flowers after our friends the Myrups left.
She plugged her own ears.  Although I thought I saw some big fire works and was getting up to show Aleana and she got scared because of the noise and is now afraid of fire works. That night when the fire works were going off we could see them from her window so I went to show her and she got scared and clung to me the whole rest of the time and would not go to sleep until they were gone.  She will now say "bye pops" and will get scared if she hears them.

Friday July 25th

Last day of swim lessons, she passed! We mostly played in the kid pool and she loved it.  She likes to be in control and not have others controlling her so i think that is why she was not a big fan of swimming lessons in the big pool.
I was babysitting so I let them play in the pool

Saturday July 26th

We went to a slash pad in Salk Lake for Curt Grandmas Snellie's 94th Birthday.  Aleana loved the slash pad! We forgot to get a picture with Grandma Snellie, but Aleana did give her a hug and kiss.
Playing with her Grandma
She loved running though this and then she would run over and give Julee a hug.
After we went to Julee's and then visited Grandma Pete.  We spent the weekend in Kamas and Curt helped put the siding on their new shed.

Monday July 28th

What a big girl eating spaghetti rings.

Tuesday July 29th

Pictures of Aleana splashing in rain puddles.  She loves the water, I think we need to get her a rain jacket and rain boots for her birthday.

Great action shot!

Sunday August 3rd

All ready for church and waiting for Daddy to come pick us up.  She was so grumpy all day and very hyper and loud during sacrament.   I ended up subbing in nursery and doing singing time.  I was so happy that Curt let me go to relief society I really needed it.

Aleana is 22 months now and she is working on her 5th molar.  She is also starting to get an attitude, not sure if it is just a phase or from her teething.   She will tell me "no" all the time and boss me around.  She also is good and testing her limits and pushing our buttons.  Her newest thing is screaming when she does not get her way,  it can get annoying fast.  She can also get into the fridge and pull things out, luckily it is usually just her milk or juice.

She is staring to do some cute things.  She will grab my face when she wants me to look at her or different things.  She is wanting us to play with her more and has us come sit by her or hide with her.  She is also learning to notice when things are the same like to planes or giraffes.  The cutest things is when she turns in circles and sings "sing sing sing I like to sing".  She will also point at her picture in front of the temple or turn my face to look at it and say "sing sing"  because she wants me to sing "I love to see the temple".

A couple things about our life.  We applied to Premier adoptions and are just trying to finish the application process and figure out loans so we can prepare for another adoption.  Also we are looking in to building our own home in Nibley with a non profit building company.  We would save a ton of money and get to help build our own home.  We are still trying to figure everything out but it looks like Nibley could be a more permenant home for us.
