18 months!

Tuesday April 1st Aleana decided to pull all my baking stuff out of the cupboard, and then when I went to take a picture she said "cheese, chesse, chesse", because she wanted her camera (our old camera to take a picture.
She loves trying to take pictures of her self and random pictures of the house.
My Cute little 18 month old.
She turned 18 month on April 2 she is getting so big.

on Thursday April 3 my mom and sister came up to watch Aleana's dress rehearsal for our mommy and me dance class.  She decided she did not want to take a nap and then was a total show off during lunch.  It is a good thing she was not wearing any clothes.

An attempt at a picture of us in our dance clothes.
Aleana did really pretty good she only tried to run off the stage once per dance.  hopefully she dose good tomorrow for her recital.  Aleana loves to dance and danced on the floor during the older kids dance more then on stage.
We went and got Aggie Ice Cream after and Debbie was nice enough to share her cone and ice cream with Aleana.  This is Aleana first Aggie Ice cream and I think she enjoyed it.
First bite of Aggie Blue Mint.
 Eating her cone!
I love the sun light in these pictures.

Family photo, but Aleana is more interested in the cone which is fitting.
Aleana has figured out that crayons are for more than just coloring in coloring books. I will have to watch her better when we get crayons out.

On Saturday April 5th we went to the Zoo for Layla's 1st birthday.  It was fun but it was cold and rainy and Aleana got a cold.  Luckly we bought a pass so we can come as often as we want throughout the year.
Layla opening her present from Aleana. I think she liked it, she did not want to open any more for a few minutes.
 Keeping warm with Dad.
She liked the otter until it swam right up to the glass in front of her and scared her.  She was a scared on Animals behind glass after that because she could not tell if they were going to stop or not.
Giant gloves to keep her hands warm.
Looking at the fish with uncle Brian, even these scared her if she got to close.
 Helping Grandma hold the umbrella
She thought the giraffe's were pretty cool and just watched them.
Layla loves the giraffe's and was pretty excited when it come over to say Hi! She is even wearing her giraffe jacket.

Aleana and Debbie looking at the giraffe,  the giraffe sneezed and scared Aleana and then she was done.
Walking along with aunt Cadie and Grandpa.
Checking out the monkey's with dad.  Although it scared her when it came up to the glass.  She did enjoy the bird room she loves birds.
I am sure we will be back again soon, but we will have a couple extra pair of clothes because Aleana leaked though one on the one to the zoo and one while we were there.  The second time she just had to dry out.  Luckily no one minded to much.

After the Zoo we headed up to Kamas to see Tiffany and meet her kids Zavane Zola and Zoe.  I forgot to get pictures but they can fun playing with myself Curt and Aleana.  They are very active kids and I would get along well with Ryan's kids.  To bad Mary was sick so they did not make it up to see Tiff and her family.   We stayed the night which was rough because Aleana dose not like to sleep any where but her own bed.  We did get her to finally sleep in her bed by 11:30 and she slept through the night.

We watched the morning session of conference with Curt's parents.  Aleana discover markers and colored during conference and actually did pretty well she only got marker on her hands.

We spent the afternoon at Julee's.  Aleana would point at her cat and say meow but would not go near then.  I think Aleana is allergic to cats because she was itching her nose and carrying a good portion of the way home.  We bathed her and put her to bed and she woke up with a nasty runny nose the next morning.  She is over the green gunk but she is still runny and often coughs when she sleeps.  I hope it goes away soon.

This week has been nice so we have been enjoyed playing out side and taking lots of walks. She loves her stroller and will climb right up into with out my help.  I love the spring!  Aleana loves seeing all the animals all around our house and also loves to play in Rykers car.  I can't wait until Julee bring up the one she bought her tomorrow.

Last night we had another meeting for FSA which went really well, it was under an hour and we got a lot planned.  It was a much better meeting even with Aleana there.

We had Aleana's 18 month Doctors appointment today.  She is growing so fast she is now 32 1/2 inches tall in the 70th percentile and 25 lbs 2 oz in the 80th percentile.  She cried each time we put her on the table and just started to scream and cry when they gave her her shots.  She calmed down pretty fast when they gave her a sucker.  She is not a fan of dr's office but luckily she does not have to get shots again until 4 years.

Aleana is getting better at talking and communicating with us and has learned how to use please, uh-hu, and no.  This helps me know what she wants. She understands what we are telling her and often listens really well, when she wants too. She has learned to say bus and every vehicle she see's is a bus.  She is cute and it is fun to watch her grow.
